As you may have noticed, it has been a busy week here at N&UR headquarters, what with the announcement of new signings on consecutive days. With the addition of Kid Mud and Shiloe, we are gearing up for a series of releases this fall which includes EPs from the two of them, not to mention an EP and an album from Tigers Can Bite You. This is very exciting for me. We have four releases from three fantastic artists that I am extremely proud to be working. Each artist has a different sound, but they also sound great together, and I think each will help establish just what is the "New and Used Records sound."
It is interesting how things come together - Shiloe is a group I had been following for several months now, while Kid Mud is an artist I first encountered in late June. Both were knocking me out with the great sounds they were recording.
With signings complete, it is time for me to get back to what I love doing the most. For much of this year, I have been trying to lay the groundwork for this label's future, but I haven't had much concrete product to actually promote. Now I can get back to writing press releases and band bios, sending out mailers, following up via email, making phone calls, hustling, shaking hands at events, and all that fun stuff. It certainly doesn't hurt that the music I am promoting happen to be some of the most exciting records I've heard all year.
Last week, the Tigers and Kid Mud EPs came back from mastering, and it was such a thrill to blast them on the CD player and then test them out in the car.
I can tell it's going to be a very exciting fall.

Thanks Anna! Appreciate the support.
Its been great reading about the process of the label from conception to actualization, and hearing the great sounds that have come from it.
Congrats and keep up the good work!
This is such great news, Will. I am really happy that N&UR is really starting to take off. All that hustling is paying off - enjoy!
