Passionistas guitarist/singer Myles Cooper told the Deli - "If you can get on Google or You Tube, that's permanent, and that's the whole world." So, as part of our quest to totally take over the internet, we are now on music networking site FUZZ - which is also a label. FUZZ's manifesto describes a plan to "revolutionize the music industry. Our mission is to build a fair, open, powerful, and participatory platform to create, share, and discover great music." Over the last year, we've seen a number of music networking sites pop up both in the wake of and in response to MySpace. The clutter of MySpace's music profiles has reached some pretty epic proportions, so its only a matter of time before another site because the indie rocker's networking site of choice. Could it be FUZZ? A lot of people seem to like imeem. There's also Virb and a few others. We'll have to see which one blows up.
Meanwhile, check out the N&UR FUZZ profile here, and the Passionistas here.
