Running With Scissors Trailer

As previously reported, Running With Scissors - based on the Augusten Burroughs' memoir - will hopefully land in your local theater in September. Adapted and directed by Ryan Murphy (creator of Nip/Tuck and Popular), the film stars Annette Benning, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jill Clayburgh, Brian Cox, Joseph Fiennes, Evan Rachel Wood and Alec Baldwin. Newcomer Joseph Cross plays Burroughs.

Looks really interesting. Joseph Cross reminds me of Doogie Houser.

It seems like Ryan Murphy is promoting his tv show more than the movie.

This looks intriguing, but I'll most certainly have to read the book first, because it's ALWAYS better than the movie.

Ain't it the truth, Barbara.

Barbara, it could be argued that The English Patient was a better movie than the book, well the book is a hard read and the movie was lovely IMO. But definitely read the book in this case.

The stellar cast makes me have strong good vibes. They are marketing it in a somewhat Tenenbaums-ish vein which makes sense. BTW I will try to see Art School Conf. this weekend.
