Band of Horses @ Amoeba Records

Like a wildfire, the buzz surrounding Band of Horses and their debut, Everything All the Time, has spread through the blogosphere since recieving an 8.8 from Pitchfork. I got my first look and listen at an in-store appearance at Amoeba Records in the Haight yesterday - an experience marred only by the fact that Charlie rejected all of the discounted Kid Rock and Ryan Cabrera I tried convincing him to purchase. Not to digress, I like what I hear so far. Charlie made to the comparison to My Morning Jacket, and you can definitley hear that in the music, though there is a bit more angst in singer Ben Bridwell's voice. You may also notice slight traces of Modest Mouse, but why waste time on comparisons when you can enjoy great music. I've not yet gotten through the entire album, but single "The Funeral" is absolutely georgeous; I fear I may become obsessed with it.

::MP3s::
"The Funeral"
"Bass Song" (demo)
"Wicked Gil" (demo)
"I lost my dingle on the red line..." (demo)
