The other night, Hillary and I were having a conversation regarding my recent prophetic dream about Smashing Pumpkins' reuninon shows. After doing some internet research, a few things occurred to us - Billy Corgan recently made peace with Courtney Love and is co-writing songs for her new album. Billy is also still in contact with former Hole bassist Melissa Auf der Maur, which makes him the perfect candidate to play peacemaker between the two. Melissa also remains in contact with ex-Hole guitarist Eric Erlandson, and if the the three of them could make peace - you would have 3/4 of a Hole reunion. Seeing as how drummer Patty Schemelwould played on Courtney's "America's Sweetheart," it's not a stretch to say that she would be eager to jump on board as well. Now, we have the makings of an awesome tour - New and Used Records Presents ... "The Rat in a Cage/Girl With the Most Cake" Smashing Pumpkins/Hole Reunion Tour. You heard it hear first.
Reunions were all the rage in 2004 and early 2005, with the Pixies, Duran Duran and Gang of Four among the bands who waved the white flag. However, in late 2005, with the canceling of FOX'S "Reunion," critics hinted that maybe music fans were getting tired of reunions. We are convinced, however, that you really, really want this reunion and would pay, like, $100 a ticket.

Nicely put. I am sure you are on to something there. I revisited Hole's music recently and I realized how much we need them in today's music scene-especially as those with the most cake currently have the least to offer..)
