Needless to say, the great acoustics combined with a band perfectly in tune made for a rather pleasurable experience. Bejar doesn't quite sing live, choosing to half-sing/half-speak, or simply shout the lyrics. It still sounded great, with the band rolling through "Crystal Country," "Rubies," and a rather heartfelt "Painter in Your Pocket." As great as it was to hear the songs from Destroyer's Rubies, the real highlight was "It's Gonna Take An Airplane" (from 2004's Your Blues). While the album version is acoustic, the live band slowed things down and went electric, chilled out and smooth. It sounded phenomenal, and was marred only by the fact that a very loud drunk girl thought that would be a great time to have a conversation.

You got to stroll in? Well how cool are you! I'm always waiting in line for 45 minutes to get into a show.
Painter in Your Pocket is a great song, but what is it with stupid loud drunk people at shows? Shoot them all!
Barbara,
I don't know what it is, but I have been very sensitive to individuals who I believe are acting very rude at artistic events.
Just got back from the Destroyer show. They played a great set. Blood on the Wall rocked as well. By sitting in the very front I was able to avoid any loud talking people. We will have pics and video up tomorrow or Thurs. Time for bed.
Mr. Kotter?
I was thinking the guy looks more like Jesus.
