Record Store Day
This past Saturday was Record Store Day, with independent record stores participating with in-store shows, giveaways, and limited edition releases. We did our part by visiting Amoeba Records in Berkeley. I picked up a few of the special Record Store Day releases - a Flaming Lips/Black Keys split 7", a Flight of the Conchords 7", and a Beck/Sonic Youth split 7" which features the two covering one another. I also picked up the new Whitest Boy Alive, both Silversun Pickups albums, and Leonard Cohen's Live in London. Hillary picked up the new Bat For Lashes and a $1.99 copy of Pearl Jam's Vs. We entered a drawing to win a Guitar Hero and $50 gift certificate but came away empty-handed.

It still sounds like you made off like a bandit. The record store we went to for RSD didn't have much going on besides the usual stoned guy who takes 10 minutes to ring up your sale.
