San Francisco's Still Flyin' have much to be smiling about these days. The band have a debut album - Never Gonna Touch the Ground - out now. Will Sheff of Okkervil River is talking the band up to Pitchfork. Meanwhile, the band has shows lined up with Love is All. Since 2004, Sean Rawls and his collective of 14+ musicians have been playing their sound which is self-described as HAMMJAMM. What does this mean exactly? Well, Still Flyin' do not wish to be classified as a jam band, they call their short, fast-paced tracks JAMMS, while the HAMM represents their wishes to not be categorized at all. Think the Polyphonic Spree, maybe a little Vampire Weekend, perhaps a bit of ska energy. Wish to see the band live, here are your chances:
