MP3 - "Fetal Horses" - John Vanderslice
I know that I am a little late to the party on this one, but this song is so ridiculously gorgeous I feel I must post it anyway. "Fetal Horses" is the first single from John Vanderslice's forthcoming Romanian Names. The record reflects a couple of changes from Vanderslice - it is his first with label Dead Oceans, and was also not recorded at Tiny Telephone, his studio which has also become a bit of a local institution. Vanderslice opted to instead construct a studio in his basement, removing himself from his usual comfort zone. If this song is any indication, the change was a smart move. Romanian Names is out May 19, and Vanderslice has a show at Rickshaw Stop that same night.
