Out today from Birdman Records is Live at the Creamery by the Gris Gris. Oakland's Gris Gris were the Bay's coolest band for their all-too-short existence. Lead by Greg Ashley, who'd migrated to Oakland via Texas, the band's two records displayed a healthy experimental mix of both locales signature sounds - country, blues, and psychedelic rock. Last year, the Gris Gris played their final show in the warehouse where Ashley resides. The concert was recorded and is now available on CD and LP. Click here to purchase it from Birdman.
