Shiloe's Favorite Songs of 2008 by L.A. Bands

2008 was a curious year in music; by and large, we found most major releases lacking, but we were repeatedly inspired by the songs of our peers in the Los Angeles music scene. A few of these tracks haven't been officially released yet, and a few were released prior to '08, but all were our personal favorites this year. Without further ado, and in no particular order, here are our picks for our Favorite Songs of 2008 by L.A. Bands:

1. The Karabal Nightlife, "The Human Condition" (not yet released)
2. Kissing Cousins, "Tell Me Again" (not yet released)
3. Summer Darling, "Ride This Wave of Good Feelings" (Good Feeling EP)
4. Family Tree Analog, "Sitting on a Leaf"
5. Katie the Pest, "Spit It Out"
6. The Monolators, "Don't Dance" (Don't Dance
7. The Henry Clay People, "Working Part Time" (For Cheap or For Free)
8. Wait Think Fast, "Clear Our Name" (Vuelve Al Mar
9. Tigers Can Bite You, "Taking and Running Away" (Steve Ward Hears Voices)
10. Io Echo, "I'm On Fire"

Wow, so many new-to-me bands. I love checking out the local music elsewhere, thanks.
