The Calm Before the Storm

We're less than a week away from our busy Fall of new releases! That kind of snuck up on me a bit, but I do feel quite prepared. Sending out MP3s and press emails to the music blogs of the world feels like a neverending task - probably because there seems to be a neverending network of music blogs. Some press is starting to trickle in - My Crazy Music Blog made "Taking and Running Away" the MP3 of the Day today, and they should be posting an interview with Tigers Can Bite You in the very near future.

Tonight, I will be heading out to the Knockout to see Shiloe for the very first time. I've been looking forward to this for several weeks now. I've only heard great things about the band's live set, so I assume I am in for a treat.

It is a good thing I have the Voyager, because email has been crucial over these last few weeks. I have been making all sorts of deals from the gym and the bus. Kid Mud's CD release is going to be November 11 at the Hotel Utah, where he opens for one of my all-time favorite singer/songwriters, Tom McRae. A few days earlier, on November 8, Tigers will be in San Francisco to play El Rio with our pals Geographer and The Dont's. N&UR is going to co-present that show with our buddies at the Deli SF. And, I am putting the finishing touches on a N&UR Showcase that I am very excited about as well.

Next Tuesday, check your digital retailer because Tigers' new EP, Taking and Running Away will be on those digital shelves. We will have new releases all through October as well so keep checking back.

It was a smart move to get away on your mini-break first. You are going to be uber busy, but it all sounds quite exciting.

I got a little tired just reading all that you have in store! Hope everything goes swimmingly.
