Pitchfork Apologizes For Black Kids Buzz

Pitchfork were one of many sites that championed Black Kids after that song we all like ("I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance With You") appeared on their MySpace. Now it seems the influential music site wishes to apologize. Today, the band's debut album, Pink Dramatic receives a pathetic 3.3. Worse, there is no review, just a picture of two sad dogs and the message, "Sorry :-/". What is the meaning of this? Well, Jason Gross of Popmatters says, "you have to wonder if they’re not tooting their own horn a bit here." David Greenwald at the Rawking Refuses to Stop says that perhaps it just might be that "somebody in editorial decided to do their job and give this stupid band a necessary lolslap."

I love the idea of a review with just a picture of two sad dogs. Excellent.

I haven't listened to the Black Kids...or read Pitchfork in years. So I'll keep to my bubble.
