LA Times Cuts "Buzz Bands" Writer

Publications are making cuts nationwide and music writers are often some of the first to go. Pressed for Sound and Radio Free Silverlake have written on the unfortunate exit of Kevin Bronson from the La Times. Bronson was a strong supporter of local music, covering the LA scene in his Buzz Bands column. Scott McDonald of Pressed For Sound writes:

I could make a laundry list of artists who owe Bronson a big debt of gratitude. He's partially responsible for helping several bands get their names out there -- which has inevitably lead to serious radio play, label interest and international exposure.

Joe Fielder of Radio Free Silverlake adds, "I hope we all get to read more from him soon at a place more deserving of his many talents and great taste."
