Legitimizing Mobile Video

Internet and mobile video is continuing to grow into its own full-fledged legitimate medium, thanks in part to two recent projects. Joss Whedon's Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog premiered in three installments last week, and was available for free streaming before today. The series will sell on iTunes for $1.99 an episode until July 29, and will subsequently be released on a DVD.

The Wall Street Journal reports on two new series from Warner Bros. in a format called "motion comics." A Batman series entitled "Mad Love" will be available for download for Xbox 360 game consoles and Verizon Wireless's V Cast phones, while a series based on the Watchmen graphic novel will be available through iTunes.
