An Exhibition of Britney-Inspired Art

The World of Wonder art gallery in Hollywood closed its "Just Britney" exhibition yesterday after hosting a number of works depicting Spears through a variety of mediums at a variety of points in her career. Among those who attended the opening were YouTube/MySpace celebrity Chris Crocker (of "Leave Britney Alone" fame) and internet provocateur-turned-celebrity self parody Perez Hilton. "It's 50 percent love and 50 percent mockery," said exhibit curator Steven Corfe. For more, read Britney Spears' Highs And Lows Blown Up For Hollywood Art Show at MTV News. Hmmmm...how interesting.

I'm writing/working on a project right now at school about controversy in art galleries/museums. This fits the pop culture angle.

I have to admit I love the last one. You know, once I get past the fact that it's more Britney stuff.
