I have a daily ritual - everyday I google "The Passionistas" in hopes of discovering new press. Sometimes, I find something totally exciting and unexpected - like the band being mentioned in a "Best of MySpace" feature on This is Fake DIY - an awesome British music site. "Predictably, there are lots of things we like," the paragraph begins. "Two of them are silly names and clever lyrics. San Franciscans The Passionistas have both of these, and look a bit like Klaxons in their press shot (we have bad eyesight." Things like this never cease to excite me. The same can be said for receiving our first online order this past Wednesday - from France. How cool is that?
The band was also recently mentioned over at the Deli SF, where it says, "While so many bands seem to be content to find their indie niche and settle there, the Passionistas maintain a level of mystery that allows them to escape easy description, let alone categorization." All I can say about press campaigning is that it's a constant process and you just hope one mention leads to another.

There really is nothing like a good shout-out to make it all worthwhile!
How exciting (and exotic) to have an overseas order. These things will just keep multiplying, you'll see.
