Rock Star Supernova - What Happened???

Ok, so remember that show Rock Star: Supernova that I was marginally obsessed with. So, I guess their tour kind of came and went and I didn't hear a word about it. I was all gonna try and go as, like, a member of the press. Oh well. A look at this poster and their MySpace page shows that injured bassist Jason Newstead has kind of been written out of the promotion. There's probably some drama there but nobody seems to care. Maybe I don't care either ... I just find it funny how the band kind of disappeared into oblivion. But then I got an email yesterday that the band has a new video and that I should vote for it to appear on the ridiculously lame VH1 Top Twenty Countdown. The video is for "Headspin," which fans of the show will remember as one of winner Lukas's originals...

"marginally obsessed"? I remember full recounts ;)

I haven't heard much about them either. Maybe the show isn't as big of a launching pad as originally thought.

But the legions of Pink Champagne fans know EXACTLY what happened.....

Kendra Jade, porn ho, messed in the new Rockstar's business and drove 75% of the fans away by posing as Lukas on the internet, signing autographs at HIS concerts, and just generally making him look pussy-whipped.

Add to that the fact that the CD sucked donkey balls because of the over-produced effects laid on by Butch Walker, and that there were sound issues at just about every concert, and there you have it.

A one-tour, one-hit wonder. Headspin could have been great. As it is, it's only passable.

"Headspin" is about the only decent track on the album. Decent, of course, not being the most glowing review ever, but still there's some satisfaction in the fact that a relative unheard of guy wrote better songs than the "band" itself, made up of pros, including that "song-writing genius" that is Gilby Clarke. Remember when he led them all in a songwriting workshop? Hah.

The tour is now in Australia and New Zealand. I actually went to some concerts, and they are pretty great live.
Headspin, the only decent track? I love DeadParade, Underdog, Valentine, and Light the Fuse. Have you listened to those?

I think it's just crappy that the press and the radio stations have been so uninterested. It's Tommy and the boys, and they are giving it hell on tour!

Yes, I listened to the whole CD. Two times in fact.

Pink Champagne is more successful than Rockstar Supernova :)

Yeah, Pink Champagne is the real rockstar!

Lukas Rossi is a big joke!

Mwahahahahahahaha!

Lukas Rossi can't sell records. No one wants what he is selling.

I'd vote for deletion of homophobic comments-- just my 2 cents...

I was wondering the same. I had seen there Video but I just found out that Lukas Rossi has his own website and has been touring solo I think. He has been playing alot in Canada. His website says nothing about Supernova though so no telling.
