Look What Arrived For Me in the Mail Today

Yeah, it's the new issue of The Fader with my hero, Damon Albarn, on the cover. I was pretty darn excited to see it. I will certainly follow Damon through whatever tickles his fancy, be it Blur, Gorillaz, Mali Music, or that expensive limited edition vinyl, Democrazy. This latest venture - the Good, the Bad and the Queen - should raise his musical status up another notch. All reviews thus far have been positive, but you can imagine I'm going to like this thing no matter what. It is nice to have more vindication after some of the Blur hate I endured during my college days. The album drops next Tuesday in the States. In the meantime, check out this performance of "History Song" ...

Take that, college bullies!

I am liking the Good, the Bad and the Queen more and more each time I hear them, but seriously, they have got to do something about that name! It's horrible and it's hard to type.

Yeah, I'm not too too keen on the name, but what can you do? I try and think of it this way ... this band to me screams "British" - especially Damon and Paul ... they look so British. And I guess the whole album's about London ... so maybe they take a very "American" name and swap in something really british like "the Queen" and, well, that's my thought.
