Best of 2006: The Mix + New Radio Hour

So, Happy New Year I guess and happy one year anniversary for New and Used Records. I've learned a few things this holiday weekend - one being that going out New Years Night as opposed to New Years Eve is a much better option. Also I learned that - based on the signs I saw them holding during Dick Clark's Rockin' New Years Eve - people who brave the cold of New York's Time Square waiting for the ball to drop happen to "love dick." All learning experiences aside, I've spent much of the past few days reflecting on the year that was. Hillary and I recorded a new episode of the Radio Hour playing some of our favorite songs from the past year, while discussing some of the best moments in pop culture; listen to it here. We've also compiled for you this awesome mix cd, featuring some of the year's best songs. We hope you enjoy it.

That is a lovely list. I do love Amy Millan's track Skinny Boy (the anthem to indie kids everywhere!)

I'm looking forward to relaxing with your podcast later today.

I love when both you and Hilary do the radio hour, you're both excellent hosts. Thanks for the song dedication, I would have happily shared a song with Barb though :)

It was nice to listen to all those songs in one episode too. Everyone's lists have made me really excited for what is coming up in 2007. And congrats on the first N&UR concert! I can only imagine what everyone's posts will read like one year from now.

Yay, I finally got a chance to listen! What a fine podcast. I'm also a real fan of having both Hillary and Will together - you guys have such a nice chemistry.

And thanks for the song! So glad I didn't have to share with Allison.
Skinny Boy is actually one of my fav new songs.

You guys are doing great stuff.
