Great list Charlie.

M. Ward and Beirut were two finds I was happy to add to my favourites this year.

I've only recently re-discovered "Wolf Like Me", I didn't really like it so much at first, but it grows on you, much like that Justin Timberlake track.

Agreed, that's a fine list, Charlie.

Islands is a band that I have shamefully not given the proper attention to yet, even though I was really fond of Unicorns. They make my list of bands to watch for.

That sneaky Justin Timberlake track, much as you want to dismiss it, as Allison says, it sure grows on you. I can't say the same for Joanna Newsom, however. I think you either love her or hate her.

Great list, indeed. Generally Charlie and my lists are pretty similar (only one different last year), however this time there is a lot I still have not heard, or only heard a little. Joanna Newsom was pretty popular with your friends this year, but I agree that she seems to inspire love or hate. I dig that JT tune - kinda reminds me of Fischerspooner.
