"Run on for a long time..." - New Cash and Classic Moby

This new Johnny Cash video for "God's Gonna Cut You Down" has been generating some mixed reactions. Regardless, the song is great...

And if it sounds familiar, maybe you recall it as "Run On" from Moby's Play. This video was directed by Mike Mills (Thumbsucker)...

I hated that video. As if these people are so very meaningful... wasn't that travis barker? Of course some are OK but let the Johnny Cash legacy mean something - not some celebrities "looking serious" ego fest.

And I HATE HATE HATE eye close ups!
Just a peeve I have. Among many

Interesting connection between the two songs - good find!

The Cash song is wonderful, but, no, it lost it for me when I saw Kid Rock. I did like the Moby video though: "my god, I just saw him alive at the photocopier". Happens where I work all the time.

Agh!! Who did this? Why?

Maybe I'm feeling a bit soft today but I thought the Cash video was sort of nice, like they were all paying their respects to him. And the photography wasn't half bad either - you can see every little line on Keith Richards' face! Not that it's exactly difficult to see the lines on Keith Richards' face.

And that Moby video was brilliant. It makes me want to go work for the Samaritans. I must be feeling soft today.
