Infamous Trailer

Capote was undoutedly one of my favorite films from 2005, and has already been remade. Well not remade per se - Infamous was filmed at the same time as Capote yet release was delayed for nearly a year. Written and directed by Douglas McGrath, Infamous follows Truman Capote over the same period of time as its predecessor, chronicling the research and writing of In Cold Blood. It's not McGrath's fault - he had a vision and wanted to stick to it. Yet it seems almost impossible to think about this film not in the context of Bennett Miller's masterpiece. All reviews thus far have taken to comparing the two. Infamous is likely to suffer because of it, despite boasting a cast that includes Sigourney Weaver, Gwyneth Paltrow, Daniel Craig and Sandra Bullock. (Toby Jones plays Capote).

I really want to see this movie, especially because it deals with a slightly different time period in his life than depicted in Capote.

I'll have to think about this one. I'm ashamed to admit that I fell asleep during Capote. (I was tired!)

I saw some clips from this on TV the other day and it looks well worth seeing.
