Can you believe this Rolling Stone cover??? Of course you can - it's Rolling Stone. It's bad enough that Fergie actually gets the cover story. Jimi Hendrix is rolling in his grave. Anyway, rant aside, it seems as though I have been rather busy. So busy, in fact, that this is the first time I've gotten to post here this week. On Friday, we had a little celebration in honor of the Degrassi season premiere and, even though our plan to serve distinctly Canadian food didn't quite work out, we did have a good time. The episode could have been better - it focused on bad boy Sean, who always gets a plot whenever the writers want to add some extreme sports into the mix. This time, Sean was caught up in the underground Canadian drag racing scene, which lead to some exhilarating parking lot races at speeds of at least 40 MPH. On Saturday, we went to support Matt Harrison's comic book work at a comic and zine expo, while on Sunday we hit up SBC Park for the final Giants game of the year. Now while, we assumed this would be a pivotal Giants-Dodgers matchup back when we bought the tickets, it ended up being rather meaningless. Even though we lost 4-3, we did get to enjoy some hot dogs and the best garlic fries in the world. We also got to give baseball's favorite scapegoat (Mr. Bonds) a standing ovation. Hope to see him back next year setting the home run mark.
Last night, I filmed for Meaghan Kimball at an event benefiting public school teachers and students. There was a rather awesome Van Halen cover band and lots of delicious food. Plus, we got to interview Johnny Moseley. I wasn't even out too late as I got home in time for us to watch a little of the Veronica Mars season premiere.

Wait, you were reading Rolling Stone.... why?
That is a horrible cover!
Sounds like you've had a great week. I don't get the channel that carries Veronica Mars, and its not downloading properly, which is sad. I hope it was good.
That cover is a perfect example of why I cancelled my subscription with Rolling Stone. I've got nothing against Fergie personally, but they're aiming for the FHM, Maxim buyer. There's little music news in there now.
Plus I pay double what you guys pay.
You're a busy man at the moment !
i have no qualms about looking at that cover whatsoever. none at all.
There is no music left in Rolling Stone. It's trash, and when they do have reviews or "breaking bands" they are always months behind eveyone else.
I'm glad you had a fun dinner party and a fine baseball outing. Sorry that the outcome wasn't better.
