Bill O'Reilly says, "Take this test!" Apparently, I'm a secular-progressive, and that's supposed to be really bad. I probably - along with my heathen secular progressive brethren - the cause of this great "culture war" in our country. All it takes to be a "secular progressive" and not a "culture warrior" is to answer 'yes' to these simple questions:
1. Do you believe in "income redistribution"--that is, the government taxing affluent Americans at a higher proportional rate in order to fund entitlements to the less well off?
2. Do you believe the definition of marriage should include homosexuals?
3. Do you think suspected terrorists captured overseas are entitled to Geneva Convention protections-that is, the same rights that military people are afforded?
4. Do you believe that the USA, in general, is harmful to the world?
5. Are you against states legally mandating that parents be informed when their underage daughters have abortions?
Incidentally, if you answer "no," that makes you a "traditional warrior," which I think means you can hunt bears and start fires with sticks. Thanks to Charlie for sending me this link. What are you?

I think its safe to say most around these parts are secular progressive.
I think that first rule might be a good idea...call me open minded but I just handed out 5 yeses.
