New Damon Albarn Band

If you know me, you know I get giddy at the sound of news relating to Damon Albarn. While there seem to be few updates on that new Blur record, Albarn does have a new project that sounds pretty interesting. NME reports that the record is called The Good The Bad and the Queen, and is being produced by Danger Mouse. The band features Paul Simonon (the Clash) on bass, Simon Tong (the Verve, touring member of Blur) on guitar, and drummer Tony Allen along with Albarn. There will be a new single in October, while the album hits stores in January.
