So much is happening with regards to the New and Used Records video podcast, and I am getting really excited. A lot went on this week, much of which kept me from blogging at my normal rate. For starters I've been editing the second episode which profiles The Cuts and the fabulous label they're on - Birdman Records. As mentioned before, a number of episodes will feature Birdman artists, and label president David Katznelson is very enthusiastic about it. I interviewed fellow Birdman artists the Gris Gris last night before their show at 12 Galaxies. I also met some other video podcasters last night from Pacific Noise. On Wednesday night, I shot and interviewed Kelley Stoltz while he was at Rickshaw Stop - the same venue where I filmed Chris Brokaw. Stoltz is a local and his fantastic Below the Branches came out on Sub Pop back in February. I have to say, it was one of my all-time favorite interviews. As for the future - I'll be filming Howlin Rain at the beginning of June before they hit the road. Howlin Rain is fronted by Ethan Miller of Comets on Fire, and you can stream their awesome debut at Luisterpaal.::Previously::

This is getting really exciting! I'm so glad that things are starting to take flight. Pretty soon you are going to have to clone yourself to keep on top of all your projects, though.
