N&UR Video Podcast No. 1: Chris Brokaw

Since 1990, Chris Brokaw has built a strong career in independent music. Beginning as a drummer for Codeine, before moving on to lead guitar in Come in 1992, and the eventual solo career in 2003, Brokaw has shown a willingness to take on many a diverse project. His most recent solo release, Incredible Love, has the hints of a singer/songwriter subverted with lush instrumentation and strong production. The wide range of projects Brokaw remains involved with include playing as part of Evan Dando's touring band and scoring two independent films. He's also started another band. With a touring schedule that has him playing live about a third of the year, Brokaw caught up with us while in San Francisco for the annual Noise Pop Festival. (Featured in the podcast are live performances of "X's For Eyes," "Whose Blood," and "Incredible Love," while "Move" plays during the closing credits. All are from Incredible Love).

Will's been working on this for a bit of time now and I think it is really great. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did. I am excited that there is a lot more good stuff in store also.

Great work. I love the N&UR Logo / credits. Nice to get the personal angle with the interview too.
Will look out for Brokaw on tour if he comes this way.
