For those of you who don't know, the Byrds are my all-time favorite band, and I hope to publish a blog soon expressing my lifelong love for them. You see, I feel that this blog has become very focused on the New records, with very little emphasis on the Used ones. Oh, well, here's one of their classics from 1965, "Chimes of Freedom" ...

:) haha :)
i just love that vintage drumkit. I play a Tama Starclassic (modern studio kit) but used a Slingerland (vintage) one time and that was just great!
So, thumbs up for old stuff!
What was so magnificent about early Byrds stuff is that they took the sentiment of Dylan and mixed it with the melodic quality of The Beatles. I have to admire them a lot because they and The Beach Boys used the British music invasion of the 60's to raise their game, and compete.
This review has started me thinking about some of the old albums I wish I still had. The Byrds have obviously passed the test of time with you.
You may find these odd choices, Will, but my old stuff that still sounds fresh are Rocky Horror Picture Show, the B-52's, Warren Zevon, and Queen. The Clash and Elvis Costello go without saying as they are always relevant.
