While listening to the iTunes "New Music Tuesday" podcast this morning - because I've got ten minutes to learn about the new music I am sure to hate - I learned that the suits at Apple are all excited about the latest addition to their music store, the Ghostbusters soundtrack. I know what you are thinking - it always seemed like so much trouble to go to the record store and find this in the $2.00 bin or, worse, order it from Half dot com. What you really wanted was the freedom to choose which songs to pay a dollar for. However, if you want "Hot Night" by Laura Branigan, or "Disco Inferno" by the Trammps, you're going to have to pay the full $9.99. (Note: If you really just want Ray Parker Jr's theme song, Xenafan's Ghostbuster's tribute page has the mp3).

This is a true story. I framed and hung up The Ghostbusters soundtrack record album two weeks ago in my room. I put it between Revolver and Rubber Soul. For serious. All these albums were somehow floating around in the attic at my parentals house in Atlanta.
Awesome! I love framing records, and Ghostbusters has a pretty dope cover. It goes well with the Revolver cover I think since that one is in black-and-white, but Ghostbusters would be the standout. Nice to know my readers have good taste.
That's funny, I watched the film recently and none of the music stood out, except for Ray Parker's hit theme. I would totally frame this cover. It takes me right back to grade 6. It's stark minimalism is more artistic than it seemed....
