Is it Okay to like "Hey Ya" Again?

Remember October 2003, when OutKast released Speakerboxx/ The Love Below and there was "Hey Ya," that warped, Beatles on crack of a pop song that was so damn catchy. That song was so cool, until Andre 3000 sang it at every award show in history, and then it appeared on Kidz Bop and then the Golden Globes opened their show with a song about the red carpet to the tune of it. At that point, that song had become not just played out, but really, really uncool. What I wonder, as we await the release of the OutKast film/record Idlewild, will it ever by ok to like "Hey Ya" again? I need to know, readers - my sanity is at stake.

Don't do it! Don't fall for it! Keep your soul clean.

We actually didn't have the song wall to wall, so I still love it.

You are lucky Ben. I am so glad "Ghetto Musick" didn't get played quite so much.

I remember at some awards show (I think it was when they wore the Native American garb) when Andre said a sarcastic comment like " we are not at all sick of this".
I loved it,and almost never got sick of it truly. So in my probably uncool opinion, it's ok to revive it.
