The OC tried to keep us with a gimmicky plot about the return of Marisa's suddenly sexy little sister, but those after-school special plots about saving Johnny from his own stupidity drove us away.
Not to mention the fact that - in a world without Arrested Development - The Office is the funniest show on television. Being big fans of the original version, we were skeptical about an American reproduction. However, the show draws inspiration but does not copycat its predecessor. Steve Carell is the boss from hell, but he does not copy the mannerisms of Ricky Gervais. Thursday night's episode was absolutely brilliant, as the show continues to carve out its own voice, perfectly paying homage to the original.

I love the English version. Haven't seen the American version yet but I've heard it's coming over here soon.
