Kid Rock Returns ... and Much More Important News from the past week

Kid Rock is back - according to Rolling Stone - ready to hit the road in support of a new live album. You may ask yourself, "why would Will post this? Is he a Kid Rock fan?" Well, Will is most certainly NOT a Kid Rock fan, but what he does find interesting is one sentence in the article. Charley Rogulewski writes, "After the success of his 2003 self-titled debut, Kid Rock has kept a relatively low profile," a sentence that makes absolutely no sense. First of all, Kid Rock did not release his debut in 2003; he came to fame in the late nineties with Devil Without a Cause, but even that was not his first album. Also, who is this Kid Rock who keeps a low profile. Am I thinking of some other drunk, un-shaven hick who shows up at every single party and benefit show. Remember when he was at the Johnny Cash tribute? I don't know who invited him.

In more accurate/relevant news ...

Arctic Monkeys are at work on a short film
Sam Riley has been cast as Ian Curtis
Pink Floyd are officially done
New Fiery Furnaces material due in April
Wu-Tang Clan are ready to tour again

Can't wait for the new Futureheads album.

Arctic Monkeys were great the other night, but the pressure on them is enormous. I'm afraid they'll implode.

They didn't steal the show.

The Mystery Jets - 7/10
We Are Scientists - 9/10
maximo park - 8/10
Arctic Monkeys - 8/10

Kid Rock has some work to do to effectively lower his profile. Keep at it, "KID".
